Prospect-Ann Marie (Martin) Valletta, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Paradigm Health Care Center in Prospect. She was the wife of Patrick Valletta.

Mrs. Valletta was born on June 27, 1924 in Naugatuck a daughter of the late Stephen Martin and Anna (Nardello) Martin. She was retired from St. Mary's Hospital where she worked in the laundry dept for many years.

Besides her husband of Naugatuck she is survived by two daughters, Diana Sullivan and her husband Thomas of Naugatuck, Patricia Stankevicius of Wolcott, her son, Gary Palomba of NY, her step son Larry Valletta, one sister, Lorraine Douty of Melbourne, FL, two brothers, Edward Martin and his wife Maryann of Naugatuck and Stephen Martin and his wife Lori of Waterbury. She also leaves her four grandchildren, Erin Sullivan, Michael, Melissa and Anthony Palomba.

The family would like to give special thanks to Paradigm of Prospect for the special care they gave mom.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
